What I think is very interesting about the meeting is the fact that the fast picture boys aren't being able to 'steal' money. Normally you get 1.01 matched due to the picture delay but Betfair seem to have different measures in place for these big meetings and they get the suspension spot on. I wonder why?

Someone made an error there laying the winner for 1000.0 for £15 :!:

But was only 4.9 at the end of the race as opposed to the usual 1.01, this has happened in numerous races so far :!:

I have several friends there today and the delay is negligible thanks to the BBC coverage.

Sounds like an odd SP was returned on the Ascot race - still not settled, hmmmmm.

Great trading opportunity in the Stewards market, tens of thousands around.

When are they expecting a result?

Result in now - but it is my understanding from the Stewards I have been in that they will want to speak to the jockies to get their views. Therefore you can trade it for the first few minutes where it is very volatile confident that it won't suspend on you. After a few minutes the markets tend to settle down anyway so usually best to move on to the next race at that stage. But at the big meetings there can be a lot of money flying around so worth a look.

Betfair are probably working out which way to settle to get the best commission payments.

>>>We apologise for the delay in settlement of the 16:25 Ascot. We are currently working to settle this market ASAP and apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Something must have gone wrong - SP was returned a lot bigger than the industry but that is never a problem normally :?

Betfair is really struggling for me today, was a bit dodgy yesterday, but today it's getting quite hard to whats happening with the orders and streaming graphs.

Do you mean it is running slow?

I thought it didn't seem as fast as normal but assumed it was my internet connection.

Basically yes. Its ok sometimes but then when heavy volume comes in it starts struggling with a few dropouts
