Because virtually all serious traders use Betfair, except the ones who would have to pay the higher-rate PC, so it's a common assumption on this forum.JustLukeYou wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2019 6:30 pmI'm sorry but you are now the fourth person who has assumed I am using BetFair. Why do people keep doing that?

Please let it come to pass. Once you have no internet, I assume your trading days are over?

Could I please have all your strategies, seeing as you won't be using them?
Do keep in mind though....I want them FULLY explained, in easy to follow and specific steps. If you're in any doubt, please be helpful and swing by your nearest Ikea and take a look at the instructions for one of their products, as that's the sort of thing, I'm after. I don't want to have to do any deeper thinking on my own, please.
If you don't comply with the above, I WILL continue to hound you with requests for more details, for you to be more specific, and to be more constructive, while lamenting you for your effors to assist me.
Sorry, couldn't help myself. I'll get my coat

Plenty of people here remember the days when you had to walk down the high street at 9am, in all weathers, visiting 6 bookies looking for a price and then running back to bookie#1 just in time to miss it. Didn't even have Pret then either, lunch was wrestling a discarded sandwich from a stray dog. You don't know how lucky you are

Erm, what I'm trying to say is that in this golden age of information (unless you have a learning disability of sorts) there is really zero excuse of being ignorant.

I do honestly believe though that being self employed and running a small business is great experience for trading. With my business, for example, I have to make judgements on a daily basis about which stock will give me the best ROI and it things go wrong and I have deal with them in a reasonable manner. You might see an opportunity to make a profit but when you investigate it deeper the price is artificially inflated and instead of selling for £50 the stock may only sell for £30.
I read some more of my book where he talks about many newbies try to calculate an hour wage for themselves and how they is I deeply negative thing to do because you make trades to try and hit a false target. It is the same with being self employed also. It is a completely different mentality to having a job.
