Might be wrong but most staff in Indian restaurants aren't Indians.

The owner of my local 'Indian' restaurant once told me most 'Indian' restaurants are actually owned and staffed by Bangladeshi's!

Correct, having visited 3 regions in India, the food you get in the UK is certainly not Indian cuisine by any stretch of the imagination.

Absolutely, inaction in the face of inherited inequality is akin to complicity in the original acts. i'd recommend that you read up on the role played by the East India company in the 1600-1800's. They themselves were ABOLISHED in the late 1800's (280 years after their creation). You can only abolish something if you were actively involved!!.

61% White British

As per 2021 Census for Leeds:

89% White British

As per 2021 Census for London:

53% White British

So, based on the above official facts, I wouldn’t say Bradford or Leeds or even London had a non existent White British representation.

WTF - Lookup up the 2021 UK census data. I didn’t make those figures up for those 3 places. Ofcourse the data could be wrong or people lied on the forms. But that would be stupid as it carries a large fine and/or prison sentence.

But I am confident the UK is not being overrun by non white people.

This thread seems to be getting rather stupid and with some comments downright racist.

From my experience, don’t worry about someone’s skin colour or where they were born, worry more about if they’re an idiot or not. I would suggest there are a few of the later on this forum.

Hi Jim,

Not quite. Though having enjoyed Kerala, Amristar and a few other Indian destinations over the years, and counting several Indian-heritage families as both clients and friends, I can tell you that many of them perceive the railways we built to have been a blessing, if nothing else.

I think CS referred to "acceptable is ''Anglo-Saxon heritage''".
So not necessarily white.
And your reference to the influence of the Romans, Vikings and Normans did fly into my mind too.
But hey, the response overall is that we disagree with his view on this issue. If CS can provide a cogent argument for his view that's fine.
