Not half. Europe really stumbled over the line there. That took a bit of the shine off the victory for me, on the night at least.
I traded the match markets over the first couple of days and did quite well. The outright market was too steady for my liking. On Sunday, the match markets were poor in comparison. I only managed a tiny fraction of the previous two days.
I had a good lay entry on the tie in the Spaun-Straka match when Spaun went two holes up for the first time. When Straka reduced the deficit by one, I opted to scratch the position because there was so little action in the market and the gap between scratching and the next money on the ladder was huge. Very different from Friday and Saturday. Too many matches; not enough money.
I think I'd have been better off trading the outright market on the final day. Ah, well, I'll know next time.
