For all my talk about how hopeless it is, I'm just about ready to return to the fray. I wanted to come-back earlier in the year, unfortunately it took me longer than expected to restore my betting bank.

I'm pretty sure I know where I've been failing, and I'm hopefully finally ready to take a strap to the backside of the 'nagging wife' market

You just can't leave this game alone, Zenyatta

It's like returning to an old girlfriend - You know she is an absolute bitch, and she's gonna cause you pain, but it's all worth it because she's a great shag

Ha. This time I'm coming back armed with a huge leather strap though, LeTiss. The relationship this time will be strictly BDSM :D

To be fair it is early, when the races start earlier than normal people do tend to bet less. Only a nursery anyway, onwards and upwards :!: (I hope  )

sorry yes....actually the 2nd at newbury. the first was a PA race. Even the later races although slightly more volume are super thin. Price is like a scalded cat!!

I've got a conference call on Monday with Betfair, I think that's a great turn of phrase.

can i suggest you tell them to concentrate on their core market or that they might end up like Blackberry (who tried to take a slice of another market, neglected their strengths, and are now effectively bust).

i'd start with a series of tv adds explaining what an exchange is and that sportsbooks offer dreadful value to punters...

thats the only way I can really describe it! It knows where it wants to go but touch it with an order and it reacts straight away from you. Although betdaqs thinner it actually trades better so the differencies between the exchanges are actually closer than ever.
