Speaking of shitting on soil, Russia has layed over a million land mines in the occupied parts of Ukraine. Those will be killing men, women and children for generations, long after the war has ended.

Trying to come to terms with why cluster munitons are banned. It seems to be because they have a percentage of "dud" bomblets that don't detonate but remain live.
So the areas they are dropped are like minefields requiring careful sweeping.
But my confusion is why do we make the distinction between these munitions and those that blow people and stuff to bits in one hit?

My friend, both sides have been deploying cluster munitions from day one of this "special operation".
As you say, whether it's a bullet, bomb or dormant bomblet waiting to blow somone to bits sometime later, the outcome is the same.
And what is the point of all this mayhem? That is a huge question for me. In a weird way Putin may actually doing us a favour. It's been a reminder of how pointless and wasteful armed conflict really is.
They could have got round a table instead of resorting to violence at the start date of this conflict and argued, but nobody would have died, nobody would have had their lives shattered by berievement or displacement. It's all so utterly stupid.

There are no courageous politicians anymore, they degenerated.

Joe Bloggs (don't know what the Russian or Ukrainian version of that is - but ordinary guy) saying "go over there and try to kill people" and "yes you may die, but I have these reasons why you should do this". It's total nonsense!

The local news, reporter interviews some very young injured soldier, whos leg was amputated in a hospital. The young soldier very cheerfully tells how he is taken care of, how everything is paid for and works as it should. But... for a supershort moment he turns away, and GOD DAMN IT, GOD FN DAMN IT, there so much pain in his eyes at that moment cause he tries to hide, suppress the fact that he totally realises that his young life is stupidly ruined! Such a strong moment...
I desperately want that all warmongering Mutters Courage were on his place!

You know, I'm a simple man with a simple questions, can you explain me from yours taxpayers point of view what is the necessity to held natos meeting near belorussian and russian borders, move expensive equipment (like, 12 patriot aa systems) over there, helis, planes, 1000 mil personnel and other stuff? Ukraine has between 40 and 70 planes left. Some were flown to Germany to be fitted with the storm shadow missiles under the guidance of the RAF. They spent 4 months figuring out what modifications were needed.
