Speaking of shitting on soil, Russia has layed over a million land mines in the occupied parts of Ukraine. Those will be killing men, women and children for generations, long after the war has ended.napshnap wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 12:28 pm
Also has to be detonated at place, cause it's not transportable.
To me it's another act of shitting on slavs soil. The sight of shredded once beautiful trees already making me depressed, but NO, let's bring all the shit to the territory. An abuse of nature. Pure insanity, hatred.
Ukraine Crisis
My friend, both sides have been deploying cluster munitions from day one of this "special operation".napshnap wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 12:28 pmAlso has to be detonated at place, cause it's not transportable.greenmark wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 12:14 pmTrying to come to terms with why cluster munitons are banned. It seems to be because they have a percentage of "dud" bomblets that don't detonate but remain live.
So the areas they are dropped are like minefields requiring careful sweeping.
But my confusion is why do we make the distinction between these munitions and those that blow people and stuff to bits in one hit?

Do you still not get it? - it takes one bullet to kill man, but the people choosed to be the target.
As you say, whether it's a bullet, bomb or dormant bomblet waiting to blow somone to bits sometime later, the outcome is the same.
And what is the point of all this mayhem? That is a huge question for me. In a weird way Putin may actually doing us a favour. It's been a reminder of how pointless and wasteful armed conflict really is.
They could have got round a table instead of resorting to violence at the start date of this conflict and argued, but nobody would have died, nobody would have had their lives shattered by berievement or displacement. It's all so utterly stupid.
So, need to throw some more wood on the fire? "They are doing the sick shit, let's overshit them", right?Archangel wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 12:54 pmSpeaking of shitting on soil, Russia has layed over a million land mines in the occupied parts of Ukraine. In any unclear (political) situation - leave ethics aside and look who benefits.greenmark wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 1:01 pm...napshnap wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 12:28 pmAlso has to be detonated at place, cause it's not transportable.greenmark wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 12:14 pmTrying to come to terms with why cluster munitons are banned. It takes two to tango and it takes two to prevent or stop pointless slaughter. Where are the courageous politicians in this? Standing behind (100's of miles behind) Joe Bloggs (don't know what the Russian or Ukrainian version of that is - but ordinary guy) saying "go over there and try to kill people" and "yes you may die, but I have these reasons why you should do this". It's total nonsense!
There are no courageous politicians anymore, they degenerated.Where are the courageous politicians in this?
The local news, reporter interviews some very young injured soldier, whos leg was amputated in a hospital. The young soldier very cheerfully tells how he is taken care of, how everything is paid for and works as it should. But... for a supershort moment he turns away, and GOD DAMN IT, GOD FN DAMN IT, there so much pain in his eyes at that moment cause he tries to hide, suppress the fact that he totally realises that his young life is stupidly ruined! Such a strong moment...Joe Bloggs (don't know what the Russian or Ukrainian version of that is - but ordinary guy) saying "go over there and try to kill people" and "yes you may die, but I have these reasons why you should do this". I desperately want that all warmongering Mutters Courage were on his place!
Mutters Courage means Mothers Courage and I find that very, very offensive.napshnap wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 1:52 pmThere are no courageous politicians anymore, they degenerated.Where are the courageous politicians in this?

But nontheless why is blowing someone to bits superior than sitting around a table and discussing. I would suggest we humans aren't as civilised as we think, but we bloody well should aspire to resolving disputes with intellect rather than brute force.
Yeah, I meant "Mothers", I guess it was german word.greenmark wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 2:31 pmMutters Courage means Mothers Courage and I find that very, very offensive.napshnap wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 1:52 pmThere are no courageous politicians anymore, they degenerated.Where are the courageous politicians in this?

Absolutely agree.but we bloody well should aspire to resolving disputes with intellect rather than brute force.
My guess would be that there is something wrong with "Social Elevators" cause it "Elevates" psychopath misanthropes instead of philanthropists and then they decide that wars are acceptable.I would suggest we humans aren't as civilised as we think
You know, I'm a simple man with a simple questions, can you explain me from yours taxpayers point of view what is the necessity to held natos meeting near belorussian and russian borders, move expensive equipment (like, 12 patriot aa systems) over there, helis, planes, 1000 mil personnel and other stuff? Wouldn't it be less expensive to hold the meeting in a more safe distant location, or is this "gorilla chest beating" really worth your expenses?
Shouldn't there be some accountant guy, let's call him Steve, and Steve gonna say: "Hey guys, I made some calculations and this dick waving contest is gonna cost us gadzilion dollars. Shouldn't we get together, like, maybe at Jen's basment, drink beer and play "nuclear strike" on playstation one or something?"

Ukraine has between 40 and 70 planes left. Some were flown to Germany to be fitted with the storm shadow missiles under the guidance of the RAF. They spent 4 months figuring out what modifications were needed.
Ukraine doesn’t have any warplanes capable of delivering cluster bomb payloads.
Put 2 and 2 together and work it out for yourselves.
Ukraine is running out of ammo. NATO, the West and USA know this. The war needs to come to an end quickly but at the same time Russia needs to fail.
Over the next few weeks and months you going to see things pushed to the absolute limits.
At some point, Biden will give an order, to save lives and end the war. The US has done something similar before for the same reasons. There firepower is above and beyond anything Russia or China has and the world will see it in due course.
It will be a price worth paying but obviously not if your on the wrong end.

80 Minuteman IIIs, each carrying 40 warheads, each warhead 9 x the power of what was dropped on Japan. All Russian military infrastructure at home and overseas will be Frey bentos (Seriously burnt chilli Dona meat) before any Russian cardboard drones, planes, boats or Subs have time to fart.napshnap wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 9:14 pmThey gonna give em mr orange (not Trump, I mean chemical shit)?Archery1969 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 9:08 pm...

Russia is finished, it’s just a matter of when.
