He's also been threatening Poland indicating they want to invade Belarus and Russia will see it as an act of war against Russia and take action. Poland have just laughed at him.

I would really like to be put in a room with Putin, with a hacksaw, pair of pliers and barrel of salt.

There's a guy in Ukraine who had his leg blown off last October while clearing mines. He's got a prosthetic and he's now back on the frontline clearing mines!
Don't think I'd have much chance pulling a bird in Ukraine with men like him around.

South Korea has reiterated its commitment to not send lethal equipment directly to Ukraine.
However, in April it signed an $8 billion military equipment agreement to supply Poland with tanks, missiles, howitzers and small arms. 90% of the equipment is already made and ready to be shipped from existing supplies.
Unlike most international arms agreements it did not stipulate what should or should not happen to the equipment once Poland takes delivery.

Russia is raising the maximum age at which men can be conscripted from 27 to 30, making more of them liable to serve in the armed forces. And in In a separate measure, the maximum age at which reservists can be called up was raised, meaning men will now be considered available for military service until they are 55.

Don't rejoice in Russian blood being shed, it's hardly their fault they're being called up.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 5:44 pmRussia is raising the maximum age at which men can be conscripted from 27 to 30, making more of them liable to serve in the armed forces. Like the 22,000 or so back in March 2022 that basically put their weapons down and did a runner from the convoy that went missing, they have a choice. They dont have to sign-up, they could dissappear like others have done. Better to take the risk which you can control or be sent to the front lines as cannon fodder. In those circumstances, if i didn't agree with the war, then that's what i would do by getting out of Russia or going somewhere remote. Russia is a big country, would be very easy to move to a new a town/village. The Police / FSB cant track everyone 24/7.Derek27 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 7:27 pmDon't rejoice in Russian blood being shed, it's hardly their fault they're being called up.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 5:44 pmRussia is raising the maximum age at which men can be conscripted from 27 to 30, making more of them liable to serve in the armed forces. I agree. It's Putin and his supporters that have blood on their hands. Don't blame your average Russian. They are governed by a dangerous meglomaniac that kills or imprisons any dissenters.Derek27 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 7:27 pmDon't rejoice in Russian blood being shed, it's hardly their fault they're being called up.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 5:44 pmRussia is raising the maximum age at which men can be conscripted from 27 to 30, making more of them liable to serve in the armed forces. But only Russians can decide what to do about that.

Sorry, off topic but in response to Derek's post re generating unlimited electricity for free and wanting to know more will be pleased to know it's 'open source'. Anybody can find out how to do it by doing their research on YouTube. There are many videos explaining many processes. I don't know why those of us in the UK bother working to create a profit here when we could generate unlimited electricity and sell it to the national Grid!Derek27 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2023 12:54 pmI met a real-life version of you a while ago who was telling me how somebody invented a way of generating enough electricity to power the world for nothing (fuel to power cars may have been included), but the energy and oil giants have abducted him. Bizarrely, they haven't killed him and destroyed his work, they've just locked him in a cell and presumably buried his work and drawn a map to get to the site, which is hidden in somebody's garden. I don't know how long he would have talked for if I didn't tell him I have to go but I could tell he was really keen to tell me the story as if he has very few people to talk to.

Sorry Derek but it is their fault for allowing it to happen. It's well acknowledged that leaders (elected or not) only lead by consent. The 'boat people' both in the UK and the rest of Europe have shown that if the mob is big enough it cannot be controlled and can do as it wishes. Look back through history and see the number of times when 'numbers' have overcome the then current authority. The Russian people are allowing Putin to be their leader ergo they must take some of the blame for him but I appreciate it would take a lot a lot of balls against someone like him with his support. .Derek27 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 7:27 pmDon't rejoice in Russian blood being shed, it's hardly their fault they're being called up.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 25, 2023 5:44 pmRussia is raising the maximum age at which men can be conscripted from 27 to 30, making more of them liable to serve in the armed forces. If any regime can be effective "spokesperson" of will of the people then who needs a democracy?firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2023 8:47 amSorry Derek but it is their fault for allowing it to happen. That's simply not true, "the mob" is a poltical object, a tool.if the mob is big enough it cannot be controlled and can do as it wishes.
A mob needs a leader, and we all know what happens to the leader of a mob or political opposition in Russia.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2023 8:47 amSorry Derek but it is their fault for allowing it to happen. If you're talking about a simultaneous street assault on government buildings across Russia that's too big for the government to handle, would you be willing to lead them and be the first executed?
The Chinese rebellions are amongst the bravest and they haven't been able to overthrow their government.
