Was hoping for either a retracement toward the spike or to catch another iteration, no dice on this occasion, at time of entry things looked sound but the gaps in the market meant things quickly turned south

imo I don't think comparing yourself to other traders is all that useful as you'll be trading different things on different size, among other differences
