Hello guys,

First of all, thank you so much for sharing, this decided me to give another try at trading and reactivate my account.
I've been learning so much for the past 2 weeks and practicing successfully in practice mode scalping the given selection.
Today I decided to try the method with live data but it's been a disaster so far. For some reason, I can't get matched live while there was no issue in practice mode. I only get matched passed the 3min mark when there is enough volume.
What I do is always back 1 tick below the current lay price, cancel the back bet and set a new one if the lay price goes below my back bet price.
As the market isn't formed yet, I rarely get matched till the 3min mark but by then, there isn't great opportunity for laying at a shorter price... I might be doing something wrong but I assume the practice mode is maybe too optimistic. Or maybe today is just a bad day :)

I will keep watching the live market, seems more accurate than what BA seems to display in practice mode.

Cya & thanks again for opening this very interesting thread.

Just as an aside for dog watchers
Don't you just love that forlorn look that the last dog to load has when it thinks for a moment that its going to be left out of the fun.

Nice work.

Starting to feel sorry (not), for the botters that had the greyhound market to themselves, before this thread started!

Dont feel sorry for them. They had it very good for many years and basically offered us very poor odds and shifted the market when they wanted to.

Well, its not the wild west anymore. They will have to learn to adapt or get shafted. :D

There were several races this afternoon where bots were at play from 11 minutes out. Using Book%, Market Vol%, Selection Book% and VWAP i was able to jump in front of them but only upto a point where i knew the odds were getting too low. So i then stopped, the odds went back to some kind of normality and then they stopped at 4 minutes to go. The rules these bots use must be very simplistic but have caugnt out many over the years and when totalled up have pinched allot of $$$$$.

Time for a new dawn. :D

Similar day today as yesterday, behind early, strong winning sequence to complete a similar profit for trial staking.

One observation is with the current formline, trial times can be deceptive. These are largely dismissed, but can help a grey adjust/readjust quickly to the track and can run well fresh on their next run. Some graders overlook this (and punters).

Example; Trap 3 Brainstorm (Ex-Irish) Only trial form.
Won 8/1 (28.00 BSP)

Thankfully the last few races picked up the pace to return a fair day's pay for the dogs.

Here's my list for todays L2B trades. Took about 45 mins-ish to produce overall. Only A graded races, buy may add others in the future.

Gonna look at the BA automation and tweak the stop loss setting to give the trade(s) more time to breathe...

The timing of the entry is important, for now, is dependent on the volume matched at the time.
