Instead of admitting your error, you double down - classic human (and trading) mistake.
Like I said, I didn't message anyone in private, they messaged me & it wasn't a recent thing or in the context of this little shit storm. It wasn't some ongoing little boys club secret chat that you seem to desire to be apart of... but there is a pm option for a reason, I can understand that concept might be a little hard to grasp for some though. I couldn't care less what people think about/of me or say about me in private... I obviously know it goes on so I'm not going to waste my time worrying about someone else's opinion of me.TraderFred wrote: ↑Sun Jan 17, 2021 8:44 amCalling someone a “prick” on the forum is not considered gentlemanly conduct and I don’t think it is considered ok.
Messaging other forumites in private and calling others names behind their back is both childish and pathetic. And James has embarrassed both himself and you by admitting it. If you are going to start a little boys club behind the scenes where you throw insults at other members and discuss Toby youngs latest article, then I think it’s best that you all agree on some sort of code of privacy first.
Im sure if you found out that other members were talking about you behind your back, and calling you names, you would consider that bullying.
You're right about people being fakers, to your face they are but this thing you've got with others being fake traders is a little sketchy, who exactly are you referring to? Someone who doesn't call them self a trader by name or bio or someone who feels the need to call them self TraderFred in attempt to prove to others that they're a trader.

Exactly.
If James or I had been doing the big 'I am', we'd deserve to be taken down a peg or two.
But neither of us claim to be successful traders, so...

I hope one day you cut the mustard... I would love to see TraderSweetLyrics as your name. Its like getting your green badge for swimming one width & wearing it with pride.SweetLyrics wrote: ↑Sun Jan 17, 2021 9:16 amExactly.

Aw, thanks.
TBH, if I were to become a successful trader, I'd like to think I'd keep it to myself. I imagine that some of the most successful traders are guys and gals we've never heard of - they are just happy to do their own thing, without having to deal with aggressive doubters or people seeking free edges.
I'm not sure my forum account will survive that long though anyway, they way things are going!

Ah to hell with it... you can just come back as whoever you want. You can create a fictional character of yourself like TraderJeff (that might be obvious though) or you could come back and name yourself after a thing like spreadbetting... that way you're not actually a person or a character, it's the greatest disguise of all.SweetLyrics wrote: ↑Sun Jan 17, 2021 9:33 amAw, thanks.

Yeah, but I'm not sure I want to!
This thread aside, which I someone managed to get suckered into joining, I rarely post on the forum, and I kind of like it that way!

OK, back on topic.
Police decline to investigate funeral attended by over 200 people:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-l ... e-53473927
They say it isn't a matter for them. If so, we need clarification on who is supposed to be enforcing the lockdown.
EDIT: This was last summer, when there wasn't a lockdown in place, but it's still curious that the police weren't interested (given that guidance was breached).

It was talking about the topic that brought on the attacks and then the shit storm that came from there. Having the audacity to have a different opinion than others on the topic isn't acceptable and won't be tolerated... anyone who dares can expect to have their character, integrity & sanity attacked. I make no apologies for responding to it in such a negative manner. People are so quick to jibe at others but when it's returned the people doing it should be embarrassed.
Same happens in a lot of threads, jibes, mocks or flat out attacks on people because obviously some are at a higher intellectual standard than others and they feel a desire to point it out. I personally won't just shut up and stop posting because people like spreadbetting come along to insult you if you dare to speak.
That said, I'll leave it there... I think things have become toxic enough.
