Yesterday was a cracking day; today has been a bit dull by comparison (so far!)

Yeah I had a bit of a tough one with the racing today. Dutched a few and made, but also lost a few due to an error in the dutching software....... some sort of glitch that caused me to lose on two horses when only one horse was used for the margin :/ :?

With your scalping: Be very defensive but allow it to grow. Always keep a lid on it.

Thanks SeaHorseRacing. I'm pretty new to this to be honest. Blown a few £££on the way too in the past few weeks/months so I'm being as defensive as I can. I've just got the Wayne bailey Book on betfair and I'm taking a few angles from that amongst other video's on youtube. I'm pretty hooked though. Have you been trading long?

I have been trading a fair while now.

Books are so good for you! But time really is the key.

I think there are "mainly" 2 types of people for why they dont succeed in this game.

1) They are not prepared to give it all they have got.
Learn about themselves. Learn about the markets.

2) They give up too quickly.

It will take time. but most importantly spend your time working hard at it!

My advice for anyone really wanting to make a few quid.

Time. It will take time.

If you've had a really bad days trading, the next day you change completely. This will end up in circles. You need to test your strategies! Some days trading is really shit. But also it takes the smallest of change to make a very poor day to a profitable one.

If your looking to really get into it. Check out Peters blogs and videos.

Finding strategies is not something people just give away.

However I will point you in the right direction.

Peter's masterclass is an excellent course to attend.
I have read and purchased everything out there... Peters strategies book that comes with the masterclass is 100s of pages long and nothing comes close on the retail front.

On the free side... there isnt any really. However its all about the time issue, If you spend all your time learning yourself it will take considerable longer then if you attend courses and reading books.
Spending all the time you can watching the markets.

Worc traded really well tonight. Did anyone else spot that been a few races tonight where someone tried to direct the price the other way before smashing it into a big swing. both the small runner fields too.

Crappy summer NH racing and a sunny bank holiday weekend aren't the best conditions for liquidity.
