It's the "Once again" part that gets up my nose!Betfair wrote: It looks like we’re still having problems with our Sportsbook and Exchange. We’re working hard to fix this as quickly as we can. Once again, apologies for any inconvenience this might have caused.
The Today's Racing thread has more than a million viewings. I was going to say how remarkable it is that this thread has reached a third of a million, but as I write this I've realised more than half the postings to this topic are pre-2013, before the racing thread even started and when the forum must have had less members.
Things must be getting better.

Is Betfair no longer fit for purpose for traders ?
it probably is but you have to bare in mind they dont like spending money on it, hence the gubbins will always and as always been held together with blue tack, velcro and bits of string.
you need to accept that you WILL lose money due to their fuck ups (and it still rankles me big time - probably always will) and you have no real other option other than having a betdaq account and try mitigating some of your liabilities on there. obviously the larger your positions the harder it will be to reduce your liabilities. other than than you can (and should ) use sp to give you some protection.
monitoring this thread is probably the best betfair down radar there is, often many false posts but always monitor this thread, soon as you see a post, sp or close out.
other exchanges in my opinion waste of time.
it is actually been a lot better in the last 4/5 years then it ever as been.
I have an email notification for this thread. Like you said a lot of false positives and emails are sometimes late but it's always given me a heads up when things go wrong.to75ne wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 10:07 amit probably is but you have to bare in mind they dont like spending money on it, hence the gubbins will always and as always been held together with blue tack, velcro and bits of string.

More likely some traders aren't fit for Betfair.
