Think I'll put my name forward for the role of Formula 1 race director, this new bloke doesn't seem to have a clue.

Trundle got it right. Get out there and race, then adapt to the conditions. This looks like a new Race Director paralysed by fear of messing up and therefore doing zip.

It shouldn't be that difficult to get a race director who knows what they're doing... it's not brain surgery.

I still watch F1 because it can throw up some decent trades but I've lost interest in it as a spectacle this season. It seems that F1 will never really change; you get one interesting season every five then the rest is just a procession to the title for one driver.

Y, I'd fully agree with that and its the same reason why I've slowly lost interest in watching it over the years

Yes, it started well with Charlie in his Ferrari pulling a big lead over Max, but it's been all one-way traffic since.

Hopefully the Ferraris are now back to their super-fast best and I wouldn't be surprised to see Charlie or even Carlos on pole (if unlikely to win).

Y, I'd fully agree with that and its the same reason why I've slowly lost interest in watching it over the years

A few years ago I found a pile of VHS tapes from the early 90's that I used to record the races on and when I watched a few of them I realised F1 was just as predictable then! But there were a lot more personalities and not just the drivers. Team owners like Briatore and Eddie Jordan, now we have Wolff and Horner. No comparison

And the best thing about back then was the cars sounded proper!

If Ferrari can sort their reliability issues out we might have a title scrap and it would be nice to see the Mercs up there but they've laid a proper egg this season.
