On the one show this evening they showed a wholesaler with 2 million rolls of toilet paper going flat out to get them to the shops, and said there's no issue with the supply of materials to manufacture them.
I've heard that most loo roll shortages are down south, that's because up here we still get daily newspapers. You can't wipe your arse on the Mail-Online but the printed version is designed specifically for that purpose. Let's just say I'm not taking my pile of old papers the recycling until this blows over, so if you get desperate I can mail you a few sheets of ultra-soft and absorbent broadsheet. ;)

Yes the Daily Mail & Sun are a terrific for wiping away fecal material especially when they are a bit damp. You can get about 2 weeks out of 1 edition of either.

Problem is it's not soft enough to flush down smoothly and will cause blockages. Might just have to keep the paper separate and bury it in the garden.

It will probably be OK if you leave it to soak for an hour before flushing!

Possibly a new type of market - has to be better than any VR!

Great fun and far more interesting than VR, at least you know (subject to the balls all being identical) that it is totally random, something I've always had a doubt about with online casino games!

i know it may have been mentioned before, but this TED talk with Bill Gates in 2015 re Virus Outbreaks and our current readiness is a worthwhile 5-10 minutes of your time:

https://www.ted.com/talks/bill_gates_th ... anguage=en

.. and a great comment (from the comments section on that talk):

Years ago, when Gates made this speech, he couldn't have anticipated a total incompetent like Trump in the White House. Nor could he have imagined that this Incompetent, would be so dramatically stupid, that he would fire his entire staff working on epidemiology a mere year before the outbreak of one of the most infectious pandemics we've seen. We need a leader who believes in science. Instead, we've got a conman who's going to cover up facts until we're all sick or quarantined in our homes. What an unmitigated disaster. No wonder the stock market is tanking.

FYI - like many rural yokels, we get our shopping (bulk items) delivered every few weeks. Last Thursday, I placed our usual bi-monthly order and went in today to add/remove some items. Was shocked to find that MANY items (basics) were flagged as being unavailable. This may only be today and all will be fine on the day of delivery (thursday), but looks like the panic could be setting in :(

Here's the top few scrolls - there are at least two more pages like this, including (as expected), pasta and rice etc...

Dogs will follow suit in the next few days when lock down begins.

Basically there will be no SPORT whatsoever for weeks/months to come.

Course seems to favour front-runners, can't see anything coming from behind. ;)

If the dogs could somehow survive would give the sport the biggest boost its had in decades after relentless decline year after year.
