i dont care how good a horse is; i can never understand backing lower than evens, let alone 1/7.

any notion of value just becomes far too diluted for me to ever consider 1/7 as value, even if the opposition were all blind with 3 legs and fat blokes riding them.

It's crazy to back at such short prices.

11/09/2016 14:38:38: [G_Auto] : Automation Signal for Best In The World: WINNER = 1
11/09/2016 14:38:46: [G_Auto] : Automation Signal for Shamreen: WINNER = 1

So Best In The World traded at 1.01 before losing. Ouch! If you were the unfortunate person who backed him at 1.01, I can provide the number for The Samaritans.
today 2 races had 1.01 losers

this is betfair's test market for when they withdraw that AUS endpoint - can be safely ignored and will probably disappear within a few weeks

I'm sorry, what do you mean by " they withdraw that AUS endpoint"?

Betfair are changing the way the api works with regards the Aussie markets. As a result, they have had a few Test markets up for the past week or so in order for developers to test the new changes. To all intents and purposes, most people can ignore these Test markets.

there was an email sent by betfair to anyone with an api account, but I've pasted it below, for anyone that never got the final details:

We can now confirm that the retirement of the Australian API Endpoint will take place on the 20th September 2016 from 0700 BST.

The following Australian test markets are now available via the UK (Global) Exchange endpoint:
MarketId's – 1.126692626, 1.126692625
- Horse Racing > Test > Test (AUS) 20th Sep > 23:00 R9 1111m Test(UK) /23:00 To Be Placed(UK)
MarketId 1.126692681
- Soccer > Test Australia2 > TestTeamA v TestTeamB > Match Odds(UK)

Key points for developers:
New AUS Exchange markets will be created with a “1.” prefix and will be returned alongside existing Exchange markets via the Betting API filterable using the AUS/NZ country code.
The Accounts API AUS wallet will be retired and all funds will be held in a single Global Exchange wallet accessible for the Global (UK) Accounts API endpoint.
Following the migration date, the API will fail gracefully with any request for data to the AUS Exchange returning a response with no data (rather than an HTTP error).
As a result of this change, AUS/NZ markets will be made available via the Stream API.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Baptism by fire! :? 16:15 was mental. 20 ticks up, 20 ticks down, 50 ticks up, 20 down.... Not sure if that was caused by this mad bomber that seems to be around today. Moral - be very careful on short-priced favs!
