The Royals aren't everyone's cup of tea but was surprised to see there's full 5hr coverage of the Coronation on Spanish TV. (as there was for E2's funeral) They wouldn't do that if it was just a bloke signing a register to be President. GB hasn't got much to offer the world these days so would be a shame to bin 1200 yrs of tradition.

It's so sad seeing tens of thousands of people belittling themselves and feeling so unimportant that they have to pay homage to another ordinary guy.

I didn't "belittle" myself nor did I feel "unimportant", I just felt respect for my king rather than the jealousy that burns into republicans

I suppose if the great unwashed masses continue to buy into the whole class system and that these people on the balcony are their "betters", then thats how the monarchy continues.
