I didn't like the make up of the markets today and wasn't helped being on the wrong side of a few big sudden moves.

I also found BD had a much slower fill rate, kind of to be expected as in general was bigger priced fields but even on the short favs it wasn't as quick I didn't feel.

Onwards to tomorrow!

Are you going cycling again this year before trading Peter? Don't fall into the river ;)

Shame about your knee, been a really nice morning the last couple but opted for a game of Squash instead today but left it a bit late getting back so wasn't as prepared as yesterday which didn't help with my trading today.

You are probably looking at the antepost markets rather than the daily win market.

First race was good - I couldn't get anything out of the second though.

In the build up to the first did any one compare the bookmakers screen to the exchanges and what was available to back/lay as shown on Ch4?

I was eating some lunch at the time so couldn't compare but the volumes made me think it was Betfair, possibly even a combination of the two?

The image I got doesn't really show the exchange prices on the far right.

Great to see McCoy get one on the board.

I'd imagine that would include chunky margin on the bookie prices

I didn't frame what I meant to say very well. All bookmakers seemingly have the exchanges up as well built into their software so what they were showing on the right was an exchange market, you can only just see the first two columns on the image i posted. But they had the 3 back and 3 lay prices.

When I chatted to some bookies once they said they had it linked to BF but just wondered if anyone was able to do a comparison of the amounts available as then it could be seen if it was one exchange or the other or both linked.

Betdaq have the majority of the on course market. Betfair wanted to charge commercial terms for getting a price feed from them. That was the case, assuming it hasn't changed.
