I feel sorry for you grigsy and I hope you quickly get back in track.

If going IP in the UK is bad enough, going IP in Aus is complete suicide, there isn't enough liquidity for you to build a 'safety net'.

Different things can bring your discipline back and it's up to you to discover which one will work for you. I've always liked the thought 'I won't let them take anymore of my money' (whoever they are  ), it makes me feel like I'm in control in some way but that's just me.

You can always close your trades before IP even if you have to imbalance the book to get filled and close all positions before the off, don't forget ;)

But just close them!

I found that the main cause of going in play can be - accidently going in play and coming out in profit from it, this I think might have a subconscious effect where in the back of your mind as the clock ticks down and your waiting to be matched you can think (without thinking it) I’ll get out in play ‘worse case scenario’ knowing that in the past there’s been a positive outcome. The problem lies in that we generally would get out asap when the position moves favourably for only a small profit but when it moves against we wait for it to turn favourably and if it doesn’t - maximum loss!

Your comment about it being like a disease is bang on as you might not go in play for months but when it happens once it then starts to creep in more and more.

Maybe we should start an 'inplay anonymous'.

The ‘take sp all’ buttons gets hammered by me any time the clock ticks down, that and talking about it definitely helped me. Good luck anyway
