Down 60% in the last year, that's a big chunk of market cap, but then a lot of frothy market caps have retrenched lately.

I'm pretty sure he should just focus on core business. Seems sensible.
He's got too big of an ego for that, I imagine too that a lot of buyers of Tesla's in the past were wealthy, young and educated, can't see many of that description now rushing to buy a car associated with him considering where he has aligned himself politically

You often find when people are successful; maybe even through luck, they get ahead of themselves. They can do no wrong and everybody does what they say. It's a curse of success.

I was working at a company when they wheeled in somebody like this. Everybody just just said yes and I stood up and said, this doesn't make any sense.

I wasn't around for much longer, but the account I managed crashed and burned fairly quickly when I left. It was sort of obvious it was going to happen, but people just blindly pursued these policy's that just didn't make any sense.

At first it was a bit of a curse as it stopped you from getting on in a company, but it became my biggest asset when I got a reputation for being able to sort things out.

But all I ever did was take a step back, look at things and point out where they were broken or didn't make any sense.

Down another 10% today, I bet even people who own Tesla's now will be starting to get worried
