I have huge respect and admiration for anyone who can say they trade Betfair markets full time and it is their primary source of income/livelihood these days.
I agree, I was nowhere near able to make a living from trading alone although I feel like I could now turn up for an hour or two and make a small amount of supplementary income. The NEED for money is a huge psychological barrier that I'm sure wipes out most wannabe traders.

I've always thought that trading would have been easier back in the day whereas now there will be more people trying to get a slice of the same pie with more technology and experience as competition combined with poorer liquidity than a few years back. Not to mention how bad inflation has now got. I remember being introduced to Betfair trading where it was marketed by certain individuals as "an easy few hundred a day" but that was at least a few years back

Totally agree with this. The moment I stopped wanting to do it full time (as a pipe dream) and just accept a couple of quid a day, the better I became. I no longer felt the need to trade every race going. I pick and choose my fights now. Napoleon didn’t battle anywhere, he fought when and where was most favourable
