You know a bookmaker..how quaint and old fashioned.

And you have solved racing's funding problems. The answer is to run races every minute; people will come in with piles of cash.

'But where will the extra money come from?' I hear someone at the back say.

'Run the races and it will appear' comes the reply.

In any case, it is always in HRI's interest to get Irish punters to bet on Irish races, so there is never a reason for them to alter their race times to avoid a ckash with the UK.

Which is where we came in.

If you ever visit ye olde bookie shop, you might be surprised at how many people bet on the virtual races that take place every 15 minutes in the morning...

Would you guys say our friend the Mad Bomber is at work today?

I saw an absolutely huge steam before - something like 80K in 5 seconds!

Racing in the UK is run so badly, they all need sacking and a new team brought in. It needs completely re-thinking it's so farcical. It's stuck in the stone ages.

One of the biggest scandals is that the media don't hound them about it. All aboard the Gravy Train - choooooo choooo

I have said it before and will say it again - fine the courses when late off without a valid reason.

Fully agree about the other comments on the OZ thread - we run our sport in a mickey mouse way compared to Oz. Or compared to most other sports!

17:15 Aintree, Jockey's refusing to turn out for the last race because of a whip ban applied to Ruby Walsh.

It doesn't help having the likes of Tom O'Ryan talking rubbish as he miss counted the number of hits. There were 9 definite hits and 1 more which is questionable so no matter what he over hit the horse though Tom claims only 8 hits and possibly 9.

I wish he would just go take his pension as he makes error after error!
