In any case, it is always in HRI's interest to get Irish punters to bet on Irish races, so there is never a reason for them to alter their race times to avoid a ckash with the UK.

I have said it before and will say it again - fine the courses when late off without a valid reason.
Fully agree about the other comments on the OZ thread - we run our sport in a mickey mouse way compared to Oz. Or compared to most other sports!

It doesn't help having the likes of Tom O'Ryan talking rubbish as he miss counted the number of hits. There were 9 definite hits and 1 more which is questionable so no matter what he over hit the horse though Tom claims only 8 hits and possibly 9.
I wish he would just go take his pension as he makes error after error!
