Are you referring to Doncaster or all courses JR? They said on TV that there was an unusally large crowd at Donny today due to the weather which might have boosted figures, hopefully it's the same on the other courses too :)

seems to be pretty much across the board. Most volumes are higher than betfair. I know its not a direct comparison.....but I don't recall seeing betdaqs volume figure being above betfairs amount despite the calculation difference. Even on the races around evens I think I was seeing around 50% of betfairs volume at the off. Thats twice as high as I would expect given the historical volume differences.

Is there anywhere that I can view volumes matched by Pre Event and IP broken down by sport for BF? I have had a look on BF data but its a bit out of my skillset to crunch.

Wow thanks. Has anyone published the totals after adding it all up?

Not up to date, but I did this a few months ago for horse racing which I don't mind sharing..

I plan on doing some SQL this afternoon so might update it and add 2011 if I get really bored.

Very nice work. Obviously if you could do all the markets and then a total for BF that would be even better! :D Maybe you could have it on here as a permanent "sticky".

I think that this type of data when compared to the anecdotal stuff on here can often be highly revealing.

Thanks very much ;)

Something is stirring at Betdaq as it's starting to work for me in a decent way on the racing. Will now need to start scaling up to see what it can cope with.

I'm playing both today and BD seems better. Have I been completely ut of the loop and missed them bringing their 2-3 odds in line with betfair?? ie 2.0, 2.02, 2.04 etc???

What's your view on the change in the price increments?

I think its a good thing.

The market moves on betfair in a specific way around those odds. Having different increments means its harder to read for me anyway. Having the same increments just means I can read what is happening slightly better.

I am definately having a better strike rate on betdaq than on betfair today though which seems really strange. I am only trading a fraction of the size though! Although I feel the market could take quite a bit larger than I am currently putting through.

We drove the change but didn't really consult many people because we didn't want to pre-announce it, just saw it made sense from a personal trading perspective. It would match betfair, consolidate volume and raise average traded profit potential.

Some other changes are on the way, which will hopefully help push Betdaq forward.
