Betfair Down / Betfair site crash
That kind of bf's api fckup is not even the worst.
The worst and meanest is when they stop market feed, but allow to place bets, so you sit "blind", thinking that it's standard procedure and they will void all bets, while some assholes slowly chewing your bets. WITHOUT MONEYBACK.
So be prepared to worse.
It's crazy , Api page is showing: ''All systems are operational'', blah, bla....
How come some people are still able to place bets at will like that?Dim wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 9:38 amIt's crazy , Api page is showing: ''All systems are operational'', blah, bla....
Lil explanation, in the situation I described above, they allow to bet everyone (including you), so it's an avoidable situation, but you should know in advance that this can happen and they won't return your money.
I guess it started few months ago, after that scandal when bf's api fckedup big and there were many angry people who complained that they couldn't place bets or that bf voided their inplay bets. After that bf decided to shift responsibility to others who were protected before with "if broken market goes inplay, all bets placed after api fckup declare voided" rule.
It differs from what we saw, I mean this guy in aus racing with his grands being able to place bets while api fcup.

I hope we all gonna see a day. When s@@t happens and BF voids all the bets_trades. At the end of the day, It 's not about loosing money, it's about HOW you loose it. That makes me angry.
That would be best for us traders but I suppose is it more unfair to those people who already had bets placed before the outage?
As napshnap says though it's completely unfair to everyone to not knowing where you stand mid outage when bets are still flying around and you cant cancel unmatched bets

Did anyone experience an outage for around 2 hours? (2pm to 4pm today) (Might of only been the greyhound markets)
