Israel must think Hamas fighters are getting a lot younger if they consider infants a legitimate target .....
and yet the UK continues to awkwardly look the other way, waiting for the US to heavily condone 1st before following in a simpering fashion.
The UK never goes up against the USA for a number of financial and military reasons. They also share high confidential information with the UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Israel.

But to be blunt, we need the USA, they don't need us.

It's easy to forget Oct 7th and Hamas's stated goal to destroy Israel. I say again. What do you do in the face of explicit aggression and a hierachy determined to wipe out your nation? If you have the ability you would neutralise that threat.
But, sadly, this will not be the end. Killing never is the end. Only both getting together to agree that killing is stupid. We are so far away from that.

Wise words, Greenmark. Israel have no choice but to root out Hamas once and for all, who tragically are using Gazan civilians as human shields.

Let us also not forget the inevitable civilian casualties of any war; not least in WW2, where we British killed around 25,000 civilians in the bombing of Dresden alone.

Let us all hope and pray that this tale of tragedy on both sides reaches a conclusion soon.

Indeed, Dresden was not our finest hour. But as you alluded to war changes the political mentality. The unthinkable becomes an option.

Putin moving his long-range missiles closer to the Western border. If he were to move his short-range missiles, that would be a concern. Long-range missiles should reach us anyway.

Is this common sense or capitulation after months of needless slaughter? Hamas have half of the blood on their hands and should be ashamed.

Prime minister Yahoo heading back from the US after children playing football have been wiped out by a Hezbollocks missile. All-out war with Hezbollocks could be on the cards.

I agree but if I was a Hamas 'soldier' I would keep my head down and be as natural/normal Gazan as possible and blend in with the innocents and hope I don't get ID. Then when it's calmed down a bit I would have a means to regroup with the Hamas groups.

If I was a Hamas soldier I'd hang myself. Don't know how they can live with themselves.

I think that is exactly why IDF are pursuing Hamas beyond what already is over as a conflict. I believe they are using agents and tech to locate operational Hamas units and then neutralise them. If civilians get in the way thats unfortunate (in their opinion) but they won't stop.
Until told to do so by the US.
Also I don't think a Hamas soldier has the option to just say "Sorry guys, I don't want to do this anymore".

By their ideology.

Political is the critical word there. These organisations are wide and deep. There are politicians and military. To hit a politician is going to make things worse. I'm beginning to think the Israeli govt have lost the plot.
