One of my neighbours high-fived me, knuckle to knuckle,
That's a weird move, surely a fistbump? So long as he wasn't stratching his arse with his knuckles it sounds fine. I'm pretty sure it's only Mason's that shake hands these days ;)

Yeah, that's the word that alluded me, a fist bump.

You mean eluded. Alluded means "suggest or call attention to indirectly; hint at.".
Eluded means "escape from or avoid (a danger, enemy, or pursuer), typically in a skilful or cunning way."
But I knew what you meant, it's just my linguistic pedantry taking control. Sorry. :-)

What idiot came up with the idea of having signs up in their shop, effectively saying £3 to you, £1.50 to everybody else?

Fuck you Tesco!

If I type the phase, the odd-on favourite will probably win, Microsoft Editor suggests I remove the uncertainty and delete the word probably.

So now I need the BBC to tell me how price rises affect me.

"UK inflation rate calculator: How much are prices rising for you?"

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-62558817

Who is this aimed at? How thick do you have to be to not understand how inflation/prices affect you? The facts are right there in front of you every day.

Which BBC idiot writes/edits this twaddle?

Use one tsp to replace a small amount of ginger!!

FFS, are they still living in the stone age where they use words/grunts to describe how much ginger they want in their food?

Baking is science, cooking is art. You put whatever amount of ginger in you want to suit your palate. The quantity is a ballpark.

You can do that with raw ginger but if somebody manufactures a ginger paste, they need to give you an indication of how strong it is.

Agree 100%. People watching me measure ingredients in grams and milliletres think I'm nuts. But my choccie fondants are spot on everytime I am precise. Funny that. And my "critics" always love the result. Nigella Lawson's recipe - nowt to do with me apart from discipline.

Women who were told as a child that you can't play football because you're a girl, stop living in the past. You can play football now!

Yep, girls now have equal rights to delusional nonsense. :)

It's not going to happen, get a proper education and a grown up job. It's only a fraction of 0% who manage to live an eternal childhood playing games all day and get paid for it.

12-second delay in Iceland and the match barely stays in play for half that time!

If sellers don't have what you've searched for, why don't they just say that instead of listing 10,000 titles that begin with the word "the"?

RoboForm has the most stupid user manual I've ever seen. 14 chapters and they're all on one page you have to scroll through, no TOC with links!
