The book was running above 106% for minutes on Betdaq! Saw a few 112%'s at one stage!

How are you taking advantage of the ovebroke book with no bookmaking tab in the Betdaq version? Are you just doing it manually? Feel like I'm missing something here. Managed to get some very big arbs between the two exchanges and had a very decent result but given the circumstances I feel I should've done even better.andyfuller wrote:The book was running above 106% for minutes on Betdaq! I really don't understand why there are people here who still aren't at least signed up to Betdaq. Even if you don't use it all the time it's worth having an account for situations like this. I know a lot of people get angry when Betfair goes down but I tend not to mind it as it regularly present opportunities for very easy money on Betdaq.
Since the company doesn't exist anymore I don't mind admitting that I made a killing arbing between WBX and Betdaq when Betfair was down. It was like printing money for an hour or two.

I think Betfair have most traders over a barrel IMHO.
Despite the dreadful problems this weekend and all the other issues, we are not really getting that much take up on BETDAQ. People are too afraid to leave the table it seems, probably in their greed to get a few quid they are overlooking all the other issues. Brilliant bit of psychology in play I think. You get the impression that Betfair are fully aware of this as well.
If you look at the upgrades we did and the promotion, no real chatter about it anywhere. No other traders tweeting or talking about it despite the problems. Everybody seems to have their snout in the trough why Betfair backend them.
Curious situation.

Despite the dreadful problems this weekend and all the other issues---------
could it be that the non exodus to betdaq is due in part to the fact that the most people who trade, cant or are very unsuccessful at it (seems to me reading this forum and other sites over the years), and hence have lost money to betfair, and somehow they think that by staying with bet unfun they will somehow become successful at trading and recoup their losses from them.
maybe its more important for them to believe/dream/wish they will become successful and recoup their losses than transfering their trading to daq?

Perhaps Betfair were under attack during the Grand National, good time to try.
