I think there are issues logging in via the API now too..
I had a general exception error on my desktop (something I was doing not Betangel..)..I had to exit betangel and when i tried to log back in again, it wouldn't let me (mode 13).
Im running fine on another betangel instance though..
Just be careful if you log out, you may be able to get back in...

Mode 13 isn't a full API mode, 0 is, so mode 13 will experience similar problems to the main site.

You will be amused to know, that every time there is a Betfair site issue all the other vendors visit this forum to find out what the issue is.

I just went to bf on my phone and some dodgy message came up in Russian language as though I was trying to login and it was saying wrong password. I don't know if anything related but I'd suggest being careful. It's probably not related but seemed strange.

No I do not, because I am active and on the markets and see it happening real time, don't need to visit elsewhere or poke my nose in where its not needed.

To paraphrase, all channels are disabled when an outage occurs. But the API is still taking bets.

Perhaps the issue is confined to login only; and doesn't constitute an 'outage'.

I spoke to Betfair when I saw this first post and have kept in touch with them. It only seems to affect logging in and that has had a knock on effect but not on 'normal' activity. I'll get word at some point on the detail behind it, but they it seems the standard stuff is unaffected at the moment.
