It's understandable blocking your toilet when you do a dump the size of an airship, you know it's blocked before you even press the button.

But a pair of carrot-size pieces, how does that happen??

My appliance breakdown cover was going up 34% in the new year. So I phoned to cancel the policy and they reduced it to just two pence more than what I'm currently paying!
I phone them up as a new customer looking for a quote ... when it comes out cheaper I ask why they are charging more for a loyal customer to renew ... they often change the renewal to the same as the fresh quote!

Why is it news that the roads will be busy this weekend!

And a news caster has just reported the "queues at Dover are 60 minutes, about an hour". Wow, I'm glad he told us that but I'm not sure of the use of "about"!

The only depressing thing about being on your own on Christmas Day is doing the washing up!

The King's Christmas broadcast topped the TV ratings for Christmas Day. I feel so stupid and ashamed for watching it!

Sticking this in here and it probably been said before, but I am fed up with football living in the last century where information is concerned.

VAR - does not have enough cameras in the stadium, honestly at the highest level of the game where VAR is used it is a multimillion pound game, they cannot tell if a ball went out of play, let alone see if someone is offside. its about time the technology moved up to 2023.

Time keeping - Rugby League has an independent time keeper who switches the clock on and off from signals from the referee with a member from each team overseeing, we can actually watch the play time clock in real time, Rugby Union has the same idea for senior games. American Football has the time kept off the pitch. Although these referees/umpires also have a stopwatch it is rare for them to overrule the off pitch timekeeper at the end of the game.

Time keeping continued - Association Football/ soccer what ever you want to call it usually has a bald headed twerp running around - the pitch in a black kit occasionally blowing a whistle. OK we do not have to have off pitch time keepers, but why not a Bluetooth stopwatch connected to a sim device the referee carries, the technology has been there 20 odd years, hopefully the tv companies may push this.

Red cards - Honestly this needs to change to reflect the cost of football in 2023, yes a player should be red carded, but the team should be able to bring on a substitute, it cost a lot of money to go to these games to have it ruined by red cards. If after the game officials deem the red card was conspired by the team then they could alter the results and or deduct points, the red carded player will get the same match bans as now. But you pay £200 plus to watch a game and then players get sent off.

Just wish the big clubs started a European league then we may get some positive changes, and I have to say who gives a f**k if there is no Sunderland in a European league as long as Newcastle are there.

Very true. The peak moment for me was last season when Saka ran off camera and scored a goal despite being miles offside. "The technology just isn't there yet." 🤷‍♂️

I moved my garden table and chairs indoors after seeing this. Right now the wind wouldn't even blow out a candle!
