I've been paying £16 a month for a plan that includes inoculations, flea & worm treatment and six-monthly health checks. Today I take the cat to the vet and I'm told I'm just being given a 20% discount on the health check, I can't have any flea & worm treatment if I don't proceed, and if I go to another vet I'll have to pay the full cost of the health check. I told her I'd rather pay more and have a vet that's straight with me.

And while I'm here, Asda sell their own brand of After Eight chocolates for half the price, but the box is barely more than half the size!

And if they sold small onions with their loose onions I wouldn't have had to open a bag of small onions and nick one!

I'm sorry to hear that the King has a form of cancer and genuinely wish him a speedy recovery, but half an hour on the BBC News???

Just two minutes spent on "other" news:
  • Police investigating the Clapham Common attack have arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of assisting an offender.
  • The man arrested in Jaywick for dangerous dog offences has been released on bail.
  • Sunak has bunked off work to spend time with two attractive women in Northern Ireland.
That should save you 30 minutes!

Putin has just declared war on the UK and has deployed a fleet of nuclear submarines, warships and strategic bombers, as well as readying his RS-28 Sarmat missiles.

You'll have to trust me on this. There's no room for "other news" on the news because a man living in London has been diagnosed with cancer!

I knew the King's cancer was gonna be big news, but I never imagined it would be a switch off your TV for a few days event, like the Queen's passing!

They haven't even disclosed the severity of it (as I have with my dumps), but the vibes are it's been caught early. I'm gonna miss those Sky anchor women and reporters.

I just caught a bit of Sky News when I came to the end of my YouTube playlist. They're still talking about how shocking it is that a man in London has been diagnosed with early-stage cancer!

It's never been shocking that people with advanced cancer have appointments cancelled because the NHS can't cope with the number of mere peasants with cancer!

Four hours later, they're still talking about it. Can you imagine how much dirty washing the Tories will have buried by now?

Question. Why do dog walkers think they have a divine right to let their mutt run wherever it likes eg a golf course. Would they be happy if I started practising my chipping on their nicely mown front lawn? PS. I am one of only 3 people in the UK that doesn't like dogs. I was bitten by one as a child - a dog not a dog walker obvs!

I've believed for quite a while now dog ownership should be far more regulated. Compulsory training for both dog and owner re: control/socialisation. There should also be an assessment of the environment the dog will live in and it's sustainability. Lets not talk about skewed selective breeding. And I'm not just talking about XL Bully. Too many breeds have been warped into an unsustainable physiology. We're not quite the dog-lovers that we are stereotyped to be.

The King's cancer isn't quite as bad as I thought. They now have bits of other news on the news.

Bad news for the King. Two month waiting time to begin treatment.

flipping call centres that keep cutting the music to make it sound as though the call's about to be answered ... only to repeat the flipping 30-second clip again in an endless loop!!

Of course it would be nice to have a decent sound track. But imagine how many like you and me get the huff and hang up.

Spent five minutes before the Villa-Chelsea match removing the foil on a bottle of wine, only to find you need a flipping corkscrew to open it!

Knocked on three doors, not a single neighbour has a corkscrew. So went up the supermarket to get another bottle of wine, got my wine, missed the match.

It happens in any 'green' space. I live in the countryside ... dog walkers think because it's countryside they can let their dogs off the lead uncontrolled and allow them to run around my garden area at will.

!00% agree. The lack of control/respect of dog owners has gone mental.
But that's life. Without proper dog licencing/training it won't change. The plus is that all those unruly covid pooches will disappear, but it will take 15 years.

I love dogs, but they need to be trained, otherwise their lives and everyone around is diminished.

There's a guy I meet often on my reservoir walks that has two Springers. They are free and a joy to see scampering through the undergrowth. But he has total control of them. Perfect!
