I spent a lot of wasted time think the way you do. If you've been in the markets for a good year you should roughly know what to do.Black Ice wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2017 10:34 amI think it depends entirely on your ability to recognise a correct trend and not one that will immediately put u in the red. A lot of these are 2/3 ticks...and Euler has the ability to recognise these small shifts correctly...most of us don't. So i would say yes it is possible to make money in any/every market...but it depends entirely on yor level of ability as a Trader. Still..I think these posts are very useful from Euler as a measure of what is possible and what to aspire to!!![]()
The key is to manage your risk.
This last month has been horrendous some days I have barely hit a 50% strike rate. I'm ahead most days because I cut my losses. Euler most likely can read a market better than anyone out there. It's a numbers game. Implement good strategies. Stick to them and take those losses. I found with February the best tactic for me has been the second I open a trade. I am ready to cut it out. The markets seem so sharp and I cannot take my eye off the ball. Most of my time I open my trade. Take a glance at the other runners and within 2/3 seconds I'm out of it. Not much long term trades happening for.

Yes let's be realistic. If I reach my target this year which is to progress forward. I will 100% be booking that trip to the U.S next February.

Not necessarily longer. Much easier to read and more opportunities. I found with the summer last year there were more profitable trades in one market. Whereas currently i am finding that I cut and take lots of small losses and get one trade that gets me ahead in the market.
It does vary but generally I an finding these markets just seem to turn so quickly. No stability and lots of noise.
One sign of a change and the market just turns whereas in the summer they seem to not behave like that and you can take your hands off a bit.

I found there are some bad spells in the summer too. There's a period where the evening racing is very weak where some markets only match about 350k pre off.

be careful if in-play today, as a number of rigged races e.g. last race at MR was a complete fix in my view, the trading pattern on the winner Dream berry was a demonstration of how corrupt this sport can be in my view... this horse was never going to lose unless it fell and plenty of connections smashing the price in while the horse was showing nothing to warrant this level of support. I always back a horse when i notice this pattern of bahaviour as you know insider stuff going on.

The Rules of racing allow this behavour. Horses are creatures of habbit and most of them can only win in one style. Trainers take advantage of it. Many many other reasons.
I have always said there is one way to stop racing being bent.
Trainers must disclose the horse bloods before a race. Trainers must disclose their intentions. Where they want the jockey to put the horse in the race. Id also like to know a horses weight, diet and vet records.
All the bookies would ahve to do is adjust their odds.

how convenient the fog at foslas obscuring the the final furlong.... is it really beyond the wit of man to position the cameras accordingly... you couldn't make it up.
