Tonight could be the last couple matches we see for this year, shame.

The rumors were true, Liverpool FC : "Fabinho, Curtis Jones and Virgil van Dijk will miss tonight’s Premier League fixture against Newcastle United after registering suspected positive tests for COVID-19."
Currently off: -

‣ Southampton v Brentford
‣ Watford v Crystal Palace
‣ West Ham v Norwich
‣ Everton v Leicester City

I can't see how they can continue the league consistently if so many games are falling away.

The Premier Lge have released a statement saying they're going to push ahead with fixtures.

Would cancelling games for one week really make a difference anyway?

Yeah, I think it's over after tonight sadly. 5 matches in the Championship as well.

Hearing first reports of AFCON being postponed indefinitely as well.

Maybe if footballers didn't share a bath and refrained from hugging and kissing each other every time they scored, then sh*t like this could be avoided!...

Would be 3+ weeks at least I think.

The stadiums could be empty again as well when football returns. Last time this happened Liverpool were unrecognizable, could impact their price for both the Prem and CL.

Yeah listening to Thomas Frank earlier today asking for this weekends fixtures to be postponed so teams could use the 4-5 days to reset.

Didn't make much sense to me at the time

Doesnt say much for Newcastle that we can lose two of our best players and we still shorten in price

Tricky match to call.

I think Liverpool will either win or lose this one, unless Newcastle scores the same amount of goals as them.

But that's just my opinion.

Is that the former United striker Michael Owen? I know he gets a lot of stick as a pundit but you have to admit he doesn't get much wrong.

Sounds like the Premier League is going to hold shutdown talks on Monday. Because apparently Covid-19 only spreads during workdays.

I'll be gutted if there's no football for the upcoming holidays, I've grown to really like the Boxing Day traditions.
