Illegal Tourists - probably a bigger prob than 'illegal' immigrants

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-67567401
yeah, more worrying is that that article is dated 29 November 2023. (you'll probably) wonder/worry what the numbers really are over the entire 14 year period!
Why just the last 14 years ?

https://www.migrationwatchuk.org/press-article/83
anyway, i suggest your read it in full, in particular the introduction found here: https://www.migrationwatchuk.org/what-is-the-problem
you'll see that they rant on about the last 5 years, in particular, 2021-2024.

while the target readership (big assumption i know -i.e. being able to read) of that ermm -publication maybe satisfied by the content, you have to understand that the paint by numbers facts are just that. if one were to see a non redacted version of all the facts, stats, i'm sure the pro migration equivalent errmm -publication, would present a similar paint by numbers daily ECHO that suited their ermmm -readership.

well, what i can't put my digit on is how this could all have happened in the last 6 weeks- lol.

snippet: which gives a flavour (no pun intended) of this restaurant article: Police say at least 20 people have been arrested during three raids since 2018 on the venue which had been praised in the past for its dim sum dishes.

The latest raid by the Home Office's Central London ICE (Immigration Compliance and Enforcement) team is said to have taken place on May 10 this year, with nine members of staff detained - almost a third of those on duty at the time.

go figure..
"There's something not adding up here - I just can't put my finger on it

Got it - what a F*kn mess the Government has got the country in"

....and still we wait for PM elect's FFS bright ideas to reverse 14 years of apathy in weeks.
And you'll' still be saying that in 14 years time under the current system of how we choose our Governments
Aha so we get there eventually. You don't like democracy. You're grumpy and haven't got the balls to engage and try to change things. You just whinge.

But how do justify criticising the "govt" when you had the chance to boot out the failures of the last 14 years after just 6 weeks?
It screams an incredible lack of logic. If Labour could have fixed things in the last 6 weeks, why didn't the Tories over 14 years. Discuss.

I'm not sure why you are fixated on '6 weeks' and '14 years'
We have a problem with 'illegal' immigration and it's been going on for a long time.
Bit of a lack of understanding from you don't you think

We realy don't have a problem with "illegal" migration. Compared to mainland europe our problems are feeble. Our problem is not welcoming and integrating those that get through the asylum process. While those people are in that process a decent UK resident would allow our process to take it's course.

Yup... Small beans to worldwide issue...

And it looks one country in particular is a problem and most of those claims get rejected..
