Just lost a sizeable 3 figures trying to trade with things as they are when I was left not knowing what the heck my position was.

When I asked Betfair for some help I was told there was no one that could help as the API is just a lot of computers and there is no one therefore as it is just computers, but I could post on a forum and see if someone could help me.

Customer service at its best from them
Just spotted your post, are you using the latest build which has additional code to recover from API issues?

Never traded Esperance before but 3 minutes out and £0 on the favourite!
Esperance will always be thin, but omg if that isn't the prettiest looking race start in the country, with the Indian Ocean in the background...
It was the prettiest 36 pence I've ever made. :)

Anyone know the difference between Newcastle and Beaumont Newcastle?

(It's not a joke - serious question). :)

Apparently it's a different track at the same venue (Newcastle)

Cheers Anbell. I did badly at Newcastle last time when I normally do so well. I better go back over my data and separate the two courses. It might be like Randwick and Kensington. :)

Just to add to the confusion there's Newcastle trots on tonight.

Yeah - Sandown is the same.

FTR the Beau/Newc meeting is also a transferred meeting from Cessnock if that affects your plans

Hey, I assume most you selected the 2% flat comission rate? Are reduction points still counted as usual as they are relevant for Australian racing still? Cant access my points total but it seems to have dropped significantly

No, the 2% doesn't apply to Auzzie markets. If your points have dropped it will probably be due to your UK or tennis trading.

will just receive reduction points for AUS markets now?
thought still get them in all markets but reduction factor only gets applied for australian markets as flat 2% elsewhere
they dont show the points total in the account summary anymore but must have dropped at least half, strange

Do the Aussies change start times a lot? And do they announce the changes anywhere like Twitter etc

Start times are changed only rarely and usually the result of a weather delay like Benalla today. Don't know of any official forum for time changes although it's announced on radio if you have access.

I find they change quite often, usually a little earlier, but also later ( which usually causes my bot to have a punt instead of a trade ). The new times seem to be updated on betfair when that happens but you have to refresh the list on guardian to get the new times. Still waiting for a an update that refreshes start times automatically *whistle innocently*

+1

Usually happens with NT, WA and Tassie racing
