If nothing else we can (at least for the next four years) say we're the only country in Europe where both the Men and Womens team have gotten to the final - all the more better both did it on home soil

and if the lionesses do go that one step further that'll be the icing on the cake and something we can celebrate and hold on to (before the torment of the men coming back from Qatar later this year after being knocked out in the round of 16 due to heat exhaustion!

An addendum to that is female lions are the most productive of the pride. Male lions loaf about fighting and doing other stuff. It's the girls that go out and hunt and bear children. I think the Lions should watch this and be inspired and get their act together. Promised so much, delivering less and less.

A little girl interviewed on Sky said women just want to get the field and play whereas men dive, fake injuries and waste time when they're winning.
