Definitely in for a losing week, 4th one this year

48/52 is still a brilliant result

agree with above. consider having a few days off (before the weather forces you), get away from trading for a while, your probably a bit jaded.

Rather than trading while these conditions last, have you considered just watching the markets and seeing if you can work out how to trade them profitably?

BTW, do you think that the problem is one of volume, ie no-one wanting to bet on class 6 races on some wet and windy afternoon in the middle of November?

I suppose It's a good result but I didn't expect any losing weeks! losing days yeah but losing weeks! I even had 1 losing month because I must have lost the plot and I lost 5k in 3 days :?

Your probably right but I can't really afford days off, I have a mortgage and debts to pay, unfortunately :(

I'm not sure why the markets feel so different to me, maybe as you say low quality races and lack of volume. You get weeks like this in the winter but I should have dealt with it better, today I'm really concentrating and I'm doing much better. I just need to keep my head on the ball!

I think I was a bit complacent at the beginning of the week since I had a good week last week. The harder markets caught me out.

Nice card today, not, only five races on the day with ten runners on more.

This week was really poor wasn't it. Lots of erratic moves every day. Lots of traders weight of money around.

Do you think the flashing spoofer might be partly to blame?

I had my best day of the year so far yesterday, but an absolute nightmare today. Took me until the last race to get out of the red. It's understandable how so many people can't handle this trading lark as you can do good one day and bad the next, still there's always tomorrow.

BTW it's unusual to have 4 UK daytime meetings on a Friday isn't it? I think it's that what screwed me up today, or at least that's my excuse. :)

no Jeff , i wish he was back , just a lack of genuine money at the moment and too many bad and open races, just not getting the moves that i need for my trading style, but on the positve side the flat is back in a few weeks and evening racing will be starting so whatever profit we pull in now you can almost double when you have 3 meetings during the day and another 2 or 3 in the evening so its a matter of just skipping along at the moment.

It always tends to be bad the week before Cheltenham, people keeping their powder dry for next week, though saying that I have had a respectable enough week and beat last years totals easily.

ust a lack of genuine money at the moment
I think that's my view also given how difficult it is to get a decent sized order filled. I have collected a ton of data recently as the markets have been very weak since the start of the year, so I am natually keen to know why. Not analysed it yet, but I still haven't had time to look at the xm data either.
