Hi all,

Just wondering, for those trading pre markets, how many times on avg do you get a trade through on these bigger meets?

This is my 3rd or 4th Cheltenham and this is the first year I'm making profit on every race. I couldn't figure these big markets out previously but think I get it now. But for the life of me I cannot get more than 3 trades through, and 3 is a push!

Regardless of whether I start 1hr before post or 30mins, I feel like I'm either waiting a lifetime to get matched or constantly having to move one side to the back of the queue because the other isn't getting taken quick enough. I'm so in the zone managing the trade that before I know it its post time and I'm thinking how the hell am I supposed to create these amazing results.
If I could put £5k through 3 times I'd probably be pretty happy, but I've got it in my head that others are doing x10.
Any reality in this, and if so, any tips?

TIA 😁

I trade more than one runner, a higher level skill, but doable.

So my number of trades is very high and I'll often open a new one before one is complete.

Ultimately it's just lots of practice that has got me there. But at the start I was one runner and one trade at a time.

Day two turnover at Cheltenham. Betfair +47% on the year and Betdaq +75%!!
Interesting!

Any view from the Ivory Towers as to where it's coming from? It can't have been short prices today...
Today will be a good test as it's all big fields and big prices.

Fair play showing your big reds as well. Favourite looked strong the whole way on the ladders to me, what did you see?

Bit slower for me today, hoping to pick up speed on the big races.

And so I did pick up speed on the bigger races. But almost messed up the very last race due to overconfidence!

Very competitive markets and no short-priced favourites made a turnover comparison year-on-year difficult today. Betfair were slightly down, and Betdaq was slightly up. But that's masked by the fact that there was no direct comparison. So, it's pretty good overall.

Most of the time I'm just hoping to not get fucked  I enjoy the challenge but just hope at the end of the week I can say, 'I did well there'.

Blogger on the hand looks broken doesn't he, bookies have had a shocking few years at Cheltenham and it seems most punters believed shorties just don't get beat there.

This is my first biggest festival that i traded i find it very difficult to skalping it from 30,60, hour or 2 hour before the race, it's easier to do same small swing or maybe directional skalping, in last 20 mins. I understand that in the last race 🤣🤣, so i hopes, tomorrow finally gets some better profit hah 👍👍
