I think DeSantis being the nominee makes a lot of sense, though mostly by default. Surely Don is going to be so encumbered by trials and civil suits that he won't have time to run/the Reps won't touch him because of it.

And on a personal level, the problem with Ron is that you think you are going to get a guy who sounds like a Ron DeSantis, and then when you hear him speak he just sounds like a Ron.

Trump asking for a delay of the documents case till after the 2024 (but I thought he'd want to clear his name?), Trump appointed Judge Cannon to make a ruling soon, if she delays it well into next year I think a new indictment in NJ will be brought

The FLS23 (streamed on Blaze TV) was an interesting watch last night, Pence went from 1 to 0% chance of winning with that ‘not my concern’ gaffe at the end of his interview, I didn’t see Asa or Scott but heard Asa makes Jeb look high energy 
and Scott was only OK, which is surprising as this is a setting where he should excel.
Haley, Vivek and DeSantis impressed the most, Vivek is so full of shit but he’s got Obama level charisma so he will fool a few people. DeSantis is a very good public speaker but when he’s been asked a question he looks very uncomfortable.
Trump not turning up was a big big mistake, it’s almost as though he wants to lose Iowa, he should be going all out there as if he wins the caucuses handily, he crushed any momentum the others have.

Wheels falling off the DeSantis campaign
Trump team wanted after 2024 election so I guess it’s about as early as could be expected considering the complications with lawyers getting clearances to view the documents.
Also heard today Trump is spending half of his campaign donations on his legal fees, add another 2 indictments and there’s nothing left to campaign with.
