Israel is believed to be planning to hit Iranian military sites in its forthcoming revenge attack and has told the US it does not foresee strikes on Tehran’s nukes and oil plants.

According to reports from the US, Prime Minister Netahyahu has said his warplanes will attack before the November 5 US elections 🇮🇱 🇮🇷💥

Victorious. Apart from the repercussions. Still nothing approaching common sense
While the leaders waft around in the worlds elite, thousands die and millions are refugee's in their own country,

Tom Paxton song lyrics.

We didn't know said the Burgomeister,
About the camps on the edge of town.
It was Hitler and his crew,
That tore the German nation down.
We saw the cattle cars it's true,
And maybe they carried a Jew or two.
They woke us up as they rattled through,
But what did you expect me to do?

[Cho:]
We didn't know at all,
We didn't see a thing.
You can't hold us to blame,
What could we do?
It was a terrible shame,
But we can't bear the blame.
Oh no, not us, we didn't know.

How history repeats itself, sadly.

We are now standing by while Israel goes berserk. I was with them after Oct 7th. But this looks different to securing borders.
Now we are only seeing escalation.
Now Gaza is a wasteland. Let's hope the West Bank stays out of this.
Israel appear to believe Lebanon is now the 2nd seat of threat and are razing areas to the ground.

My point with the lyrics is we've been here before.
The so-called statesmen/women of the power states are taking sides but not bringing the protoganists to the negotiating table.

I find it pretty disgusting that people on this thread are supporting Israel.

While I fully appreciate the anger from October 7th and the right for Israel to defend itself, destroying children and innocents is utterly disgusting. Two wrongs doesn’t make it right. If you go down that belief and right then your in the camp of Hitler and Ratko Mladić, remember those two ?

While I served the UK, we never targeted children.

Israel is now creating future terrorists who will fight them at home and abroad. That means people potentially being killed on UK shores and elsewhere in Europe and the world. But I guess that’s a price you’re all willing to take. Hopefully, it doesn’t happen.

Basically, you’re all supporting a terrorist, in a different form. Only difference, you like one terrorist over another.

Have to admit, thought the UK population was better than that.

Call it a rant if you wish but read what I said, look at history, then and only then, feel free to slag me off.

In my book, kill children and try to justify it, your a complete ‘C’.

Best thing to be said is Israel warn the target population - "Get out, we're coming in". Cheers mate, dsiplace me and destroy everything I've worked for. It looks more and more like right wing lunacy. Compromise and negotiation still isn't on the agenda, if anything Israel are going full bore before the world says "enough" and starts pulling support to try to rein them in.

But yes. As you said and Firlandsfarm said early on, this is a recruitment bonus for Islamic terrorists.
Israel has bound Hamas, Hezbolah, Fatah, Yemen Houthis and Iran closer together.
They appear to want to take on all of their enemies all at once.
It seems more mad to me every week now. Blinken is apparently there today, I doubt it will change anything.

+ 1

Unfortunately, I agree with the former head of MI6. Need to double check who is on those boats and dinghy’s. Could be a few who end up being in the headlines for the wrong reasons at the cost of British lives on UK shores.

But they went on to say "go there it's a safe place" and then went on to bomb what they declared as a safe place. I used to be sympathetic of Israel and it's situation but not anymore.

I can only agree with you. I understood the desire to dismantle the structures that presented a threat. Even targetting fighters. But it's become a ruthless excercise that even the Nazi's would be proud of. There is something evil driving Netanyahu's decision-making now and I'm getting more and more disgusted that "the world" are spouting words but doing absolutely nothing. Aid for the palestinians is great, but it's a bit feeble when you're supplying Israel with weapons and intelligence and support for military strikes.
The world for some has always been a mess, but the lunacy seems to be spreading.

Sounds like spin to me. More vocal criticism while supporting the very actions they are criticising.
As Euler said - it's a mess. Surely the clever people on both sides can now see the havoc they have created. Why do both sides not feel the guilt I would if I was in power and watched undiluted chaos being dumped on innocent people they claim to care about.
