I'm surprised his passport and/or private jets weren't surrenderd to the court.
If it starts looking really dodgy then he can just get on a plane to see his mate in Russia and take sanctuary. Putin would love giving the finger to the US government and authorities.

How can any American contemplate this lunatic being President?
It's now clear one of his main strategies is to threaten anyone that stands up to him. He's a bully. Does the world need a bully as a world leader?
To me leadership isn't about bullying. It's about being the best at collecting and processing all the info around and then being able to make decisions and carry a majority of others along with you.
Trump doesn't fit the bill. His MO seems to be "agree with me or I'll come after you".

It wouldn't. You would need to prove his request was backed up by some kind of threat. Otherwise it is just a request.
Cards on the table Trump is the worst piece of crap the US has ever elected (and that includes Nixon, remember). Why they did elect him still baffles me and why they would again is a staggering idea.
The guy is a narcissitic, sexist, bullying, self-publicising thingy (to use the Blackadderism).
I hope he get's locked up or at least prevented from holding any position of power.

No it isn't. It's a typical politicians request. If, however, you can prove some sort of associated threat then it's a slam dunk. But that's why these guys use the language they do. He is getting more and more rattled. “If you go after me, I’m coming after you.” is about as close to intimidation as you can get.
