Was this planned maintenance on their website this morning?
I had to confirm my mobile number yesterday when logging into the main site.
Why can't they send out this information by text instead of f**kin bollox about Will Greenwood's 6 Nations tips?

If the bet hasnt been matched it will remain unmatched until the site is working again. I would keep an eye on things until the event on which you are trading on has passed (BF will not want to close the site until 2pm if they can help it)petardo wrote:I left in 5.0 other 481£ on draw. It`s will be canceled?Yantraman wrote:Just tried to cancel bets over the phone - but even BF staff cannot access the platform - he assured me that unmatched orders will not be taken.

Betfair is currently experiencing some difficulties which may result in customers being unable to place bets. We are working hard to find a resolution and expect the site to be back in full service soon.
some posts in horse racing forum suggesting that "its planned maintaince will be up and running at 14:00".

Planned maintenance work my arse!
I somehow doubt that they decided in advance to take the site down for routine maintenance work just when a Saturday afternoon's racing fixtures and football matches were starting...

We're currently improving our site by carrying out planned maintenance work.
We're working to get the site back for 14:00 GMT.

You never get this sort of crap from futures exchanges. Any serious operation would have a proper backup system where a switch can be flicked and everything still works. The must have loads of single points of failure. I thought this sort of stuff was in past for Betfair, obviously not. 'spending too much time monitoring the share price, and not enough on the business itself.
