Urged along early and soon in 5th, ridden over 2f out, stayed on from over 1f out to take 2nd last 120yds, unable to challenge (op 8/1)

what does Urged alone early means?

It means the jockey had to push the horse along to either get a good early postioin or hold a position he already had. Hope this helps.

in this case the price will usually drift right?
It could cause the price to drift but it would depend on how long the jockey had to push him along for. If it was constant then it would suggest the horse was sturggling so the price would drift.
