yes it's emotional and painful for me because it's war in my country and I decided to share my thoughts with people - colleagues - whose posts I read for years
Welp, if you've followed this thread then you know how everyone on here feels about this war, besides a few individuals and Napshnap who is Russian. You have our support.

Did you say somewhere on the thread that you're Russian?

Why would a Ukrainian post in Russian?
Because ukrainian majority speaks it.
Yeah but the official language of Ukraine is Ukrainian and this guy is obviously not pro-Russian so why would you assume his original text was in Russian and not Ukrainian?

Its not important, it's just interesting to me that you would think his original text would be in the language of the people invading his country and not his own. That's pretty arrogant no?

Again its not important but I just find it interesting.
Again, despite agressive ukrainization overwhelming majority speaks it, even their president prefers it over ukrainian language. It's like a choice between a convenient fork and a chopsticks, cultural thing. This forcing is the root of this tragedy.

Kai, I don't want to be on anyone's side in this conflict. I hate this conflict, I hate puppeteers behind this tradegy dividing the people, I hate etatism.

If you still want to consider me belonging to any side, then consider me belonging to the side of "foil hats".

Many countries speak English or Spanish while not being provinces.

Had to look up a map and can confirm that Ukraine is indeed not Russia.

Some headlines are pretty bizarre.
"Swiss food giant Nestle is pulling its popular brands, like KitKat and Nesquik, out of Russia."

 There aren't many laughs available about this.
The biggest will be when (as they surely must) both sides agree a way to live alongside each other without solving disputes by blowing someone's head off.
Not difficult stuff - just political will (as usual  ).

Not so sure Pat, it could take much longer. The Ukrainian army has formed a new special Agricultural Division which is going to be very difficult to beat, they are reportedly very well equipped.
Turns out that wasn't even a joke, according to BBC News : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHpX6_B8ArE
Forget BBC News, watch Sky News. Their anchorwomen would make Ivanka look ugly. :D
BBC News : Zelensky is ready to consider NATO's application to become a member of Ukraine.

Another totally bizarre BBC leader.
"What is Nato and how has it responded to Russia's invasion?"

WHAT IS NATO? FFS!
