If people are ringing up BF en masse to close positions, would it even be possible; given the sheer sudden volume of calls?

Its' easy to say but its a total waste of time calling as they don't know anything and all they do is read of a script.

Its horrible if you dont know where you are open but it is just a matter of wait and see.

My money was disappearing from the ladder then reappearing a few seconds later, only for it to vanish all over again.

Glad to hear the problems are universal. Hope no-one ended up red as a result.

There's no money to close out against. Some people will win some will loose Betfair won't be bothered either way.

So I guess hedging via another exchange is the only method? So long as the money is there for that market!

Problem doing that is can you be sure what your position was before Betfair deem the site as "down" and also its possible they void some bets

Yes you could but I was scalping laying Over 3.5 goals in the Spurs v Everton, I closed the position somehow (I think) and checked on the website before it went down the ladder was all over the place but Spurs have scored 2 goals and depends what Betfair do timing wise I suppose so not a clue what my position was and will be.

I don't over stake so either way it'll be what it'll be I can't influence it so I don't worry about it tbh I know the script but agree with most it's frustrating especially at peak footy/racing time, the exchange never goes down on a cold Tuesday night at Stoke.

How will they produce missing BSPs? I'm guessing they'll add about 10% to ISP and then round it to 100%. They did that once before.

I reckon that's quiet a long way down the list at the minute!

I wonder why Betdaq leave a market suspended when there is a late withdrawal? If their system can't cope with stripping it out of the market quickly enough, then why not leave it in the line-up and resolve retrospectively like Betfair?

I spoke to them about this some time ago and it's a quirk of the way the system was set-up. It's too costly to re-engineer it.
