Yeah very poignant tribute as well by the fans and the captain.
Only downside was John Henry was in attendance. He was probably thinking what crisis in midfield?!

Its probably more to do what he said in the post match press conference rather than the result itself. Saying more results like that are on the horizon if we don't strengthen isn't what the owners want to hear.Dallas wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 10:17 amThat was a bit of a surprise tbhTrader Pat wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 9:58 amThat was quick!

Parker was niave to say undiplomatic things about his squad and virtually criticise the boss for not strengthening the team.
Or perhaps he's brighter than I think and had concluded - either get me more players or sack me and I'll have a holiday.
I'm not his stock is high enough to carry a reputation for slagging off players and bosses.
Even Conte is being more circumspect when pleading for reinforcements recently. And his stock is high.

Dundee manager sacked as well after 0-9 defeat.
Didn't Hasenhüttl survive two of those results?
Maybe Scotty Parker dealt with it poorly afterwards but still a bit harsh, unless he wanted out, Liverpool xG was only like 3.80 in that match. Extremely clinical performances can produce freak results, the Villa 7-2 Liverpool result only had 3 xG as well.
The Dundee performance had "lost dressing room" all over it. So Ross going was far less of a surprise.Kai wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 1:31 pmDundee manager sacked as well after 0-9 defeat.

But Parker had said similar things (even before the opening win over Villa). These owners are powerful people and probably not disposed to being publicly undermined.
Anyhow, will interesting to see who rocks up at Bournemouth next and where Parker goes next (apart from the garden).
