Lost 10% of bank, if it happened once or twice a year i could accept it. losing day for me try and make it back tommorow if it doesnt happen again!

Does anyone have the feeling the effect of these outages has changed since the new api?

In the old days most of the time a problem wouldn't lead directly to problems for me, because my hedges are placed as SP limit orders, and the other orders are cancelled at the off. My feeling is in those days if there was something wrong, the whole api or site would be blocked. So my sitting orders would not get matched by someone who still could enter orders. With the new api, only part of the site or api is not functioning. For instance I can't cancel an order, but others can still match it. After that I can't put in a hedge. Might also be a result of the introduction of sportsbook - LeTiss said that he could still trade through that thing (well done for thinking about that!).

I'm going to see Betfair fwiw and was thinking of compiling a list of outages to give to them based on this thread. If anybody wants to compile when the outages / issues occurred that would save me a lot of time and I'd be happy to represent it to Betfair. Also it would help us build up a pattern for everybody on this thread. We can update it each time an issue occurs.
