It does take a certain mindset to win long term on Betfair don't beat yourself up about it just be thankful you've got out now. Apart from people wanting to make a living from this I've never understood why people would even consider trading as some kind of hobby to while away the hours and as it's probably as far away from easy cash as you'd imagine.

The markets are always bumpy at this time of year. Check the form and race type to see what sort of race you have in front of you. Horses with no form will attract money or not and it will come in lumps. Nobody can be 100% sure how these horses will run so if any money goes down more will usually follow.

Just gonna add that there is always practice mode if you don't want to put money on the line.Naffman wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2017 6:23 pmYou know when the time is right, hope all goes well whatever you do!
For swing trading there is really no difference unless using big stakes

It takes a real man to say when enough is enough before you're knocked out cold. You have my admiration. If you do decide to try it again, in a month, or a year, or 5, you'll have a head start with all this knowledge.

This is what I hate about gambling and trading. I dont like ready about such posts.
The guy was a massive contributor to this forum who has dedicated a good year of his life to trading which is clear and it appears its not working out.
Some of you are so lucky to pick it up quickly, especially if your not from a gambling background.
Regardless of hardwork its the truth. If people truly wanted to offer genuine product and trading material, it could be alot better and more based on mindset but that is not the case at all.
It just so happens that the more who will get the nack of this game the less profit your make long term.
If youve dedicated a year, take a break. re group it is possible buddy. You just have to work on something maybe your not doing or un aware of.
Peace.

In its last 3 races, Deleyll has come last.SeaHorseRacing wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2017 5:39 pm5.50 Yarmouth- Deleyll priced 30 has got to be the most over priced horse I have seen this year. Have it as 5/1 second maybe third favourite.
4 races ago, it was just touched off but that was on the AW over 7f. Today is on turf and 3f further.
In its last 3 races, it was beaten by the halfway mark and, although under pressure, found nothing.
OK, today's protagonists don't have much to commend them, but, I can't see why anyone would want to back Deleyll.
I didn't see the BF odds but the SP was 14/1 and, if I was crazy enough to back the donkey, I'd want those odds and the rest. Even then, I'd only back it to place.
You know yourself better than anyone else does and if you feel you have given it your best shot but its just not working then there's no shame in calling it a day or at least taking a break from it. Am sure you'll make the right decision for you and i wish you luck for the future with whatever that is
