Europe has to very quickly wean itself off Russian oil and gas. Very quickly. It was be very costly and very difficult. But it has to be done. Germany and Europe more broadly have largely provided the $$ for this invasion. A stain on Merkel's legacy.

By all means, bar Russia from hosting international sporting events but I don't think it's fair on their footballers to refuse to play them. Many of them probably stand with Ukraine.
