Anyone else have an API freeze in the 17-05 at Hexham? And did it cost you any money? Betfair have screwed me for £20! Good this, 'innit!

They do, as I received warning yesterday for being critical, and cleaning was done on forum too. Few threads were deleted for ex. "BF Exchange RIP".
So, yeah they read forum.

I meant this forum, not the Betfair one.

Do Betfair complain about comments placed in your forum?

Not user comments ;)

Whenever I go to Betfair I will always represent our users. So threads like this where others comment are useful for Betfair to form an opinion on how they are doing.

Can't use football tonight. Keep getting:

"Exception: Exception of type 'BetAngelHelper.APINGException' was thrown" on half my bets, albeit I do place maybe 80 bets at the same time, but Betfair should surely be able to handle that.

Being somewhat naeive (not really - just fed up!) I sent this email to Betfair yesterday after the balls-up with the 17-05 at Hexham.

As I write this email, I am some £20.00. down due to what I perceive to be a fault with your API at the start of the 17-05 race at Hexham. I was left unable to close my trade and was therefore left powerless to do anything other than watch the video whilst my display via Bet Angel remained motionless!

I know the problem is your end (you have admitted so in a recent Tweet) and I would be much obliged if you would refund the £20.00. in to my account asap.

Kindest regards
George.

I received this reply some 8 hours later:

Hi George

Thanks for getting in touch.

There was an issue with the 17:05 at Hexham which caused the race to not go in play as the off.

In line with our rules and regulations in these situations, all bets matched prior to the off did stand, and settled in line with the result, which unfortunately left customers unable to trade.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with. Or maybe our FAQs will come in handy?

We love to tweet too; find us @BetfairHelpdesk.

Thanks,

Mike

Soccer feed out, though this could be a source issue.
