The guy who presents the Covid-19 graphics for Sky News would be better placed in a disaster drama than a TV newsroom. :)

Deaths today in uk currently stands at 47.
Have you a reference for that?
Only thing I found was
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus ... r-of-cases.
Was verbally announced on News Night.
Just noticed this on the official tweet from yesterday that may be explains the lower than expected number:
463 patients who tested positive for coronavirus have sadly died. Please note these figures do not cover a full 24 hour period.

Updated to include up to yesterday (25th), not sure why the Department of Health and Social Care figure differs from the number of deaths listed elsewhere :?

Key statisticians having to self-isolate?
It is a huge information gathering process.
Anyway, today at 8pm you can show your appreciation of our NHS/supermarket/logistics workers. There are numerous other brilliant, selfless people out there. We are so grateful and salute you!

I have an inherent fear that if I go out and start clapping I might be the only one in the neighbourhood doing so. ;)

Lets hope and prey the team at oxford university can give us some good news regarding a potential vaccine in the coming days, weeks or months. I am sure they are doing their very best around the clock.

So far as I can see there's zero chance of that. It would be unprecedented to produce commercial levels of vaccine ahead of next summer. Our best hope is to see common sense prevail and a moderation in confirmed cases between 2 days and 27 days from the govt's lockdown (21st March). If they manage that then we enter ICL's cycle of 2/3rd lockdown, 1/3rd relaxation (until the ICU trigger is hit). The ICL report suggests this 2/3rd lockdown, 1/3rd relaxation will continue for 2 years. I'm sure we'll get better at it, but its still going to be challenging.

But if you're on your own then it would only be you thinking you were a tit. And if you were seen people would think what a nice thoughtful guy you are. :)

I didn't think anyone would do it on my quiet road but loads did and I was amazed how many households had someone come out in nurse/police/ambulance gear. Sort of felt they ought to be at work though so marked a few cards :)
