Watching Leicester v Arsenal they still can't get to grips with VAR. Referees appear completely reliant upon it and it's been used for absolutely anything and everything.

No one has a clue what's going on half the time, refs having to explain things to managers, supporters don't have a clue to celebrate or not celebrate. It's just moved the debate form referee or linesman's errors to VAR errors. Can't trade off it either as Betfair just move the market back and void all bets during a review.

It's a shambles just bin it for me.

I think a major problem they have is that they keep interfering with the main rules of the game. Handball. Offside etc. Boggles my mind how a player can plant his arm to break his fall, and concede a penalty if the ball then hits said arm. The Nantes Juventus game the other night was an example.

Maybe VAR should adopt a review system? Like in cricket or tennis. 2 reviews each a game. If the review is successful, they don't lose one.

I've put 5Live on at half time and they've summed it up saying there trying to re-referee games on decisions

Premier league is won on the road as long as your home form is good enough. (i.e above a certain level) Shaping up to be a classic this year. (could be decided in the courts) Hope not.

If VAR was binned tomorrow, everyone would then be complaining about all the terrible decisions the officials are making. Cant win.....

The League Cup final has less matched than some Bundesliga and La Liga matches

Can they not schedule it better, instead of just cramming it in with everything else

Moving Spurs v Chelsea to tomorrow night and having the League Cup final as the only English game today may of been a sensible move, possibly a traditional 3pm kick off especially for fans travelling home after the game but fans attending games are the last consideration if indeed a consideration at all in football scheduling other than that there's not much else they could of done

Spent 75 minutes of Bologna v Inter thinking Bologna were the team in yellow. And then they scored.

Don't worry happens to me now and then Napoli v Ceremonese earlier in the month, Napoli at home in red and white and Ceremonies away in blue but the stream I was watching had blue colour next to Napoli and obviously you associate Napoli in blue.

Spent 1st 20 mins thinking Napoli are getting battered here. They won 3-0

Ziyech should have gone. Are we now calibrating how bad a blow to the head outside the normal play is? It shouldn't be allowed. Dead simple. Push someone in the chest or whatever, fair enough, yellow. But nuancing how bad a blow to the head is is rubbish.

It's a red for me also. VAR have clearly told the ref it's a red then said wait a minute it might not be, we don't know no more can you have a look

VAR is a perfect example of the fallibility of subjectivity. But perhaps all the expense of VAR has improved the accuracy of decisions. So long as we still have something to complain about it's all good, eh? :-)
